Leaside Contemporary Custom Home

This contemporary custom home in Leaside was designed to showcase the clients’ significant art collection while remaining warm, inviting and highly functional. Four Blocks South developed the interior layouts, material palette, custom details and furnishings throughout the new-construction home.

In the formal dining room, a custom asymmetrical table and minimalist chandelier create a distinctive entertaining space without competing with the large-scale artwork. A seamless door disappears into the wall, discreetly concealing the adjoining mudroom. Throughout the home, concrete-look heated porcelain floors and microcement-inspired textures are balanced by natural marble, warm wood and tactile furnishings.

The kitchen includes a separate entertaining bar with its own workstation sink and a concealed pantry that appears as integrated cabinetry when closed. Other personalized details include a wood-burning fireplace, a mudroom with a dog shower and dedicated bed area, and a dark, dramatic primary bathroom.

The result is a highly contemporary Toronto home where architecture, art and everyday function are thoughtfully integrated.
